Thirty Years in the Making
1995
BevMax opens on Cedar Street, Stamford, CT. The philosophy: biggest selection, best price, family service. Connecticut noticed. The yellow oval logo became a Fairfield County institution almost overnight — a destination store that treated every customer as a guest and every purchase as an opportunity to educate.
2000s–2010s
Expansion, franchising, and national recognition. Award-winning merchandising. Became one of the country’s largest independent wine and spirits retailers. The BevMax Way — “Keep it clean, keep it stocked, and keep it organized” — proved it could scale without losing the personal touch that made Cedar Street special.
2024
BevMax Cigars launched. Partnership with master blender Rolando Villami and the John Starks #3 Signature Series. Two decades of charity trips to the Dominican Republic — and the friendships forged in the Cibao Valley — finally became a product. The full lifestyle store is now complete.
Today
